Join Andrew Tanner on a deep dive into Taoist Yoga and Lifestyle practices this winter.
Taoist Yoga and Lifestyle is all about health, longevity, well-being, and optimal living to roll effortlessly with the punches of life. Whether you are a Taoist Yoga regular who wants to deepen your understanding or a total newbie curious about the healing power of this practice, this 4-week course is guaranteed to improve your health and well-being between Thanksgiving and New-Years! All ages and body-types are welcome.
Part 1 of this course teaches you the fundamental philosophical concepts of Taoism, (Tao,Qi, & Yin-Yang) how energy moves in your body(Principles of Meridians or Micro-cosmic Orbit), how to create an evening ritual for optimal sleep, and daily practices for gratitude and simple wisdom, the Taoist concept of "Wu-wei."
This course will help you establish a new self-care routine surrounded by the support of other like minded students. 12 Hour course counts towards 2018 Taoist Yoga Teacher Training.
Schedule: Meets 3 Wednesdays Nov 29th, Dec 13th and 20th 6:00am-8:45am and one Sunday Dec 3rd 10:30am-1:30pm
Each Wednesday session begins with morning wake-up Taoist Yoga practice followed by a mindful tea ceremony (caffeinated and de-caf tea provided). The second part of class is dedicated to an experiential lecture. Enrollees are asked to attend the Wednesday 9:00am Taoist Yoga class following each session (not included in price, must use class pack or membership).
Weekend sessions will also include a warm-up moving practice, tea ceremony and experiential lecture. Full day weekend sessions will include a break for lunch.
