Aerial Yoga for Kids 9-12: Fall Sessions

Aerial yoga is a great way for your child to achieve some of the mind-body benefits of a yoga practice while cultivating strength, overcoming the fear of something new in a playful and fun environment. Let your child enjoy some stretching, spinning, flipping, and striking all kinds of poses while suspended in a silk hammock.

Flight school is back in session! Beginning the week of September 12th we will begin our 7-week Aerial for Kids course. Sessions meet once per week. If your child is new to Aerial, we recommend the Aerial Yoga For Kids 9-12. In this class, we focus on the fundamental poses and how to get comfortable in the silk.

For students with prior aerial experience, or older children (11-12), you may choose to enroll your child in Advanced Aerial for Kids. In this Advanced class, we'll focus on creating a flow between foundational postures students have already learned and more complex poses such as Man on the Moon, Gypsy, and Candy Cane.  At the end of the 7 week course, we will have choreographed a routine to a short song.  Students should be able to maintain focus and attention for full hour class and have the strength and determination to master advanced poses with practice. Before enrolling we ask you contact us at for instructor approval to join the advanced group.

*Classes begin promptly. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so the instructor can adjust the hammocks to fit each child’s height. It is unfair to the other children in the class if the instructor needs to stop the class in order to make the proper adjustments to equipment to ensure your child’s safety. Please be mindful to be on-time. Unfortunately, we cannot offer any make-up sessions.
