My dad taught me to play the drums when I was about 2 years old and my love of playing music grew from there. My roots are in music, so no surprise my love for sound therapy. There was a pivotal switch from my life as a medical device rep ten years ago when I first had my kids. I stayed home to raise my children and pursued my love of photography, music and fitness. I discovered Reiki at that time and became a practitioner 5 years ago. I volunteered practicing Reiki at hospitals and as a volunteer baby cuddler (Yes, that’s a thing) at MGH NICU. I realized the positive impacts of this type of healing practice. Meditation helped me get grounded and heal pre and post heart surgery in 2016. As a nurse I’m always looking for evidence-based practices to help with the healing process and relieve pain/suffering.

I started my medical training in heart research, as a pacemaker/ICD cardiac consultant and educator for patients, nurses and physicians in the early 2000s. I'm NASPE certified and have years of hospital experience with NICU babies to geriatric patients. In 2007 I had my first daughter and started my own business as a portrait photographer at the same time getting trained with Libby Barnett to be a Reiki Practitioner and attend Kripalu over the next several years to pursue my own personal growth and development. Among that experience I studied with Alberto Villoldo and three Incan Shamans from Peru. Through this pivotal experience I was inspired to apply for the Accelerated Nurse Practitioner program at Regis College. During my first intensive year of study I ventured to hike the Inca trail to Machu Picchu and since then I felt a sense of rebirth, rejuvenation and compelled to learn new ways to help others connect with the spiritual power to heal that lies within us all. The core base of our healing and growth starts within our heart and soul.

Now, as a full time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner student I’m continually teaching, learning and researching ways to help combine western and eastern medicine to help patients and families find the best results. I’m so grateful to serve the community by providing sound therapy with Reiki and yin meditative practices. Whether you are a long time meditator or may be “thinking about meditating” this sound emersion experience is for you. Everyone is welcome in my classes. The best part of being an instructor, teacher, nurse, mother, friend is that I’m always learning! Life is a practice! I look forward to practicing with all of you.
